Founder's Story
Quentin Holmes (known to his friends as Q) likes to describe himself as a “Mission-Minded Creator”. Born into a hard-working middle-class family that had a deep value for education, Holmes enrolled in the illustrious University of Michigan where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications.
A talented writer, Holmes developed a line of children’s books called the Real Street Kidz Multicultural Book Series. He brought his desire to see himself mirrored in youth literature. Holmes also created a series for younger readers with multicultural characters who inspire, embolden, and entertain a brand new generation of children.
But, his first business was inspired by his own impeccable fashion. At Wear Apparel was founded in 2003. The streetwear brand immediately took off gaining national acclaim and was featured in several national media outlets including, Slam Magazine, Dime Magazine, Long Beach Press-Telegram, BlackVibes.com, and the feature film, The Reunion.
